2010 SWS Kite Racing - Summer Series:

The SWS invites all kiteboarders to participate in the 2nd annual Kiteboard Course Racing Summer Series.

Four days of series-scoring racing is scheduled for June 12th, July 10th, August 28th, Sept 11th.
There will be a free "Intro to Racing Clinic" orientation day at the Spit, June 5th.
Early Bird registration by May 31st.

2009 SWS Kite Race Series:

2009 Champion: Stefano Rista

Well, the Wednesday evening series is over. We had a lot of bad luck with weather, only managing to run races on 4 of the 9 scheduled evenings, and only for those with large kites and good boards. But we did learn that racing is very possible, fun and exciting, with Squamish as a perfect venue. The interest level is high. Next year we will take the lessons learned, work out some kinks, and move the schedule for weekend daytime events to make full use of the excellent conditions normally afforded by the area.
Thanks to all the competitors. We appreciated your patience in this first trial year, and we'll see you on the race course next year!
